What. a. day! Even though today we slept a little later and we're all moving a little slower thanks to what, I'm certain, is a sugar hangover, Maclane's Where The Wild Things Are first birthday party was so much fun and a wild success!
Worried about the 30% chance of rain in the day's forecast proved futile. After a quick drizzle during the first few minutes of the party, the rain held off until the last guest left and we were finished celebrating our sweet boy. As the kids bounced in the moon bounce in the yard, the men talked shop around the grill on the deck and the women congregated around the White Peach Sangria.
There wasn't a minute that passed that you couldn't feel the love and happiness that filled our house. Many times throughout the day, Mike and I were reminded how blessed we are to be surrounded by such incredible family and friends who spoil and love our boys to the nth degree. We are truly lucky.
I'll go ahead and let the pictures do the talking. It goes without saying that I won't be doing any party crafting or baking for a very, very long time but it was so worth it...

Fifteen days until the "official" ONE!
**A huge enormous amount of thank you's to my sister-in-love, Krista Lee, who literally worked her behind off to help me with this party. From stuffing giant paper leaves to painstakingly making those tiny fondant crowns, to just coming over and hanging out with the boys when needed- this party would not have been nearly as cute nor as fun without her! Thank you, KL!! XO!**
