Tell me, don't you feel so accomplished each week after working on one of those pins? I feel like much less like a "digital hoarder," that's for sure!
You can check out Week One here, Week Two here and be sure to follow my Project Pinterest pin board here where I pin each post that correctly links up!
This week I decided to tackle our family room mantle. If you follow my Pinterest Mantle board you'll note that I've been pinning seasonal mantle ideas like a crazy person. Sadly, we have a tiny mantle that is only 4 inches wide but that didn't stop me from tying together two of my favorite Fall mantle pins.
I wanted something that I would be able to keep up through Thanksgiving. As much as I love the idea of decorating for Halloween, I didn't want to go all Hallow-Crazy and then have to switch it all out in a matter of weeks. So, did I succeed?
Here are the pins I based my mantle decor on:
Here's our Fall Pin-Inspired mantle:
Of course looking back I think the left side needs a little bit more "height" and I'm not a huge fan of the hurricane vase filled with mini gourds, but it's always a work in progress, is it not?
Be sure to link up your Project Pinterest posts below- I can't wait to check them out!
Gorgeous! I love the light and airy look to it! Happy Fall!
ReplyDeleteYour mantle looks fab! It'll definitely carry you through the Fall season. Great job!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! I usually do more fall than Halloween. This year my 4 yr old insisted on all things Halloween.
ReplyDeleteI like yours way more than the ones you pinned! It has more color and life to it!
ReplyDeleteLoving the mantle! Ours is super skinny too and I'm always challenged to find things that fit on it. Cute cute, cute! I need to make one of those mossy wreaths... love it!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh, man. I love it. And girl--one of my favorite parts is the hurricane vase with mini gourds! How funny that the part you're not so sure about was the first thing my eye saw and LOVED! You are so talented, Super Mom.
ReplyDeleteI have mantle envy. We don't have one and I am determined to create my own mantle like space so I can decorate it! Thank you for hosting, I love this party and thought about what I was going to do all week!
ReplyDeleteMan I wish I had a mantle!! Grrrr. Yours is beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteSo Pretty! I think it looks great, not sure I would even change anything... I'm coming to steal that M for my house! haha
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your boys today :)
Beautiful! Want to come and decorate mine now? I'll supply wine, chocolate and a babysitter. :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I'm so bad at decorating, for the holidays and in general!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh I love your mantle! Now I want to add some gourds to mine. And that fluffy little avocado green wreath. Love all the details :)
ReplyDeleteI love all the color! So cute!!!
ReplyDeleteYour mantle looks amazing! Love it!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! Very festive. I'm so ready to decorate, but can't until I finish unpacking boooo.
ReplyDeleteLove it! And I really like the base with gourds and such :) I'm with you about keeping it Halloween and thanksgiving. It's enough to actually DO it. There is no way I'm redecorating 3 times in 3 months! Ha!
ReplyDeleteI like your mantle better than the pins that inspired it! Yours is so colorful and bright. The wreath in the middle is gorgeous and I love all of the gourds. I really miss my mantle around this time of year.
ReplyDeleteI so dropped the ball this week :( I'll be back next week though! and can i say that i am more sad about us no longer having a mantle in this new house than anything else. man i love a good mantle.
