{ 18 Weeks, Baby #2! }
Wearing: JCrew striped ruffle top and Paige Premium Denim Maternity Jeans
Total Weight Gained?: Somewhere around 8lbs. Hoping for a nice, healthy gain of about 30lbs this time. Did you hear that? Not 48lbs. NOT FORTY-EIGHT POUNDS, BABY!!
Maternity Clothes: These weekly questions are getting a little redundant. And if I can't stand to fill them out? I'm imagining you can't stand to read them. I mean, if I was in maternity clothes at weeks 8 and 9, as well as last week, I'm fairly certain I'm still in them this week. Managing to get by with a few non-maternity tops but even now they're few and far between mostly because they just aren't long enough! I did buy a new pair of jeans this week (off eBay, don't worry Husband) to add to the rotation. Paige Premium Denim. Not too shabby. So they're now among my Mavi Skinnies and 7 bootcut jeans. Invest in a great pair of jeans. Believe me, they're worth the money when your pregnant tush looks that good!
Sleep: Not waking up nearly as much overnight as I have been the last few weeks, but still waking up with the most awful hip-pain ever. An arthritic hip at 28? Awesome.
Best Moment of the Week? Showering my future SIL at her bridal shower over the weekend! I planned and hosted around 18 guests and it was perfect. Except for everyone remarking, "wow, you're so big already!" I could have done without that.
Movement? More and more each day now! M2 is most active in the evenings. Still feels like little inside-pokes and the occasional roll. The Husband is jealous that he can't feel baby yet.
Food Craving? Candy. Sour candy. Sweet candy. Chewy candy. Candy, candy, candy. Yogurt with granola. Chipotle/Qdoba burritos. Spicy sushi. Milkshakes.
Food aversions: Whatever sounds good at the moment works for me. No real aversions this time around.
Morning sickness? The nausea is waning! Praise the morning sickness gods. It's still there if I'm not eating throughout the day- but as long as I nosh on a few crackers or a chocolate covered pretzel rod here and there? I'm golden.
Gender? C's going to have a little BROTHER!
Labor Signs? No thank you.
Belly Button? Out. Like way, way out. Already.
What I miss? Non-pregnant clothes. Being able to bend over and get up from the floor without a shooting pain or ache. I can't believe I feel like this already and I'm only 18 weeks.
What I'm looking forward to: Our anatomy scan on the 30th!
I love that I spy C in weeks 14/15. LOL, he wanted in on the action!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I feel you on the pain. I have the worst round ligament and lower back pain ever!! OUCH!
ReplyDeleteYou are adorable pregnant! Seriously....My guess is you are having a boy :)
ReplyDeleteYou are super cute!
ReplyDeleteAnd my pain with babes #2 was crazy compared to babes #1. You should have seen me try to get up into our bed without really being able to left up my legs because the round ligament pain hurt so bad. :o(
So one of my close friends managed to stay in her regular jeans through her whole pregnancy. I was determined to do the same, but I've conceded and am now shopping for maternity pants...
ReplyDeleteYou look so darn cute! Love that C joined in some of those pictures :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable!! XOXO
ReplyDeleteAdorable of course :) Love the 14 and 15 week pics!
ReplyDeleteLookin good as always momma! 8 lbs is AWESOME!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWHY ON EARTH DO PEOPLE INSIST ON TELLING PREGNANT WOMEN HOW BIG THEY ARE? Can you imagine if you told people how THEY really looked?
I think you look fantastic!! I love C in week 16's picture. ha!

ReplyDeleteummm... you look GREAT. like really you do....not just you're preggo and that's what i should say great...really great.
ReplyDeleteteach me your ways? ;)
and i love c in the photo - precious!!!
You look wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI dont understand the need for people to say stupid things to pregnant women. Oye.
Glad the shower went well other than that though! I am sure it was just beautiful!!
Ugh for people telling you how big you are. I never knew how to take that.
ReplyDeleteIt ranks right up there with "are you sure you're not having twins," as the most annoying thing someone could say to a pregnant lady.
From someone who "bumped" out as soon as they told me I was pregnant, I don't think you look bit at all! I'm starting to think all the candy craving mommas are having boys (shh...some don't know it yet :P)...I'm seeing a trend. :)
ReplyDeleteYou have the cutest bump ever! And you are all belly..can't see the weight anywhere else!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Mama! (also, it just took me 15 tries to figure out how to spell gorgeous. It's not georgaus, apparently).
ReplyDeleteYou look incredible mama! And what on earth is wrong with people- don't they know NEVER to tell a woman who is preggers anything except "you look fabulous!" silly silly!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute bump!! I was the same way with number 2 - trying SO hard not to gain as much as I did the first time! Ha!
ReplyDelete8 pounds?! That's pretty freaking good. You look amazing!
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing...I better look this good when I get preggers.
ReplyDeleteYou look SOOOO good! I can't believe how fast that little guy is growing! That's just crazy! I can't wait to see more pics! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI craved candy, mexican, and spicy food when I was pregnant with my sweet boy, Colt:) You look great!
