And it was no where to be found.
How can one lose a rotisserie chicken, you ask? Easy. They leave it behind on the bottom of the shopping cart. To join the myriad of other food and paper items left behind on shopping carts worldwide. I would imagine these items end up somewhere akin to The Land of Misfit Toys a la Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, but alas, I'm more certain that they end up back in the store or worse, a smarter shopping patron's home. One who doesn't leave behind rotisserie chickens.
Sadly, this wasn't the first time this has happened and I can bet you Sullivan that it won't be the last time either. Let's quickly review some of the other items I've recently left for dead left behind on that godforsaken bottom rung of the shopping cart:
- shampoo and conditioner
- paper towels
- not one but two fridge packs of Fresca
- a loaf of French bread
- laundry detergent
- a box of garbage bags
- a case of water
One would think, perhaps, that I would wisen up and stop putting things on that ridiculous bottom rung, however that's obviously not the case. Hopefully somebody out there is enjoying what should have been last night's dinner chicken.
HAHA! You are too cute! So sorry for your long lost chicken! I too have done that before! That DARN lower rack of the shopping cart, so convenient at the time! LOL! Have a better day and a great weekend!!
ReplyDeletethe foodie in me wants to know what you ended up making for dniner instead! and how long did the state of panic last?
ReplyDeleteI've been there. That stinks! So what did you guys have instead?
ReplyDeleteOh no! I love love love rotisserie chicken. I would have cried...heehee!
ReplyDeletehahahhahaaha. i have done this SO many times. so frustrating....
ReplyDeleteholy cow! That's alot of stuff.
ReplyDeleteWe recently walked out of the store without paying for some yogurt that was in the cart...it didn't make it on the belt. I went back in and paid for it...whoopsies!
HAHA that never happens to me! But yikes that must suck. I never like the feeling of not having something I imagined I had the whole time. Feels like such a darn loss.
ReplyDeleteA few months ago Declan left a HUGE BOX FAN and my diet dr pepper under the cart. In the walmart parking lot. I thought I was going to kill him. I didn't. But yea. Oops!
ReplyDeleteHa ha hope you found something to eat afterall!
ReplyDeleteI have completely done that and continue to do it! Most days I wonder whether I'm totally losing my mind...sigh. Thank goodness I remembered the laundry detergent this afternoon. We are totally out!!
ReplyDeleteI can't even tell you how many times I leave cases of water in shopping carts!! Happens to me all the time! Totally sucks, but glad we are not alone in this!
ReplyDeleteHaha thats the worst! Not two days ago, I took G to the grocery and just needed 2 or 3 things, so I just used the big stroller with the basket underneath. Got my stuff, checked out and unloaded my one bag and G back into the car. Pull out and hear a big pop. I freak out, look around and see nothing. Then in my rearview mirror, I see the giant bag of salad that I forgot to pay for, had fell out of the stroller and got rolled over by my car!
ReplyDeleteIt was obviously karma at work. I clearly need to watch what I'm sticking in that stroller!
Hahahaa! So, as I'm reading this post I think, "well, stop putting things on that bottom rung!", guess you already thought of that. This post is hilarious. I can not even begin to list all the things that I've forgotten/misplaced since having Zoe.
